If you are looking to get away from the hustling and pollution of the city for the weekend, the Avchitgad-Korlai-Revdanda trek is designed just for you! It is a fairly simple and highly enjoyable trekking trip suited for beginners as well as seasoned trekkers.

The 2 days 1-night trip would involve exploring the forts of Avchitgad, Korlai, and Revdanda. The Avchitgad fort trek would involve the journey to one of the most commonly visited destinations in Kolad. You will be visiting the hill fort located in the Roha town of Raigad district.

The beautiful fort of Avchitgad is surrounded by the beautiful Sahyadri hills, adding to its majestic beauty. In order to reach the fort, you will pass through lush green forests with a variety of flora and fauna. As the terrain is not too challenging to walk on, you can focus on the beauty around you have enjoy being in the lap of nature. Once you reach the Avchitgad fort, you can die into its history and learn more about its ancient architecture to satisfy the History geek in you!

After the Avchitgad fort, you would be visiting the fort in Korlai. This fort has an extensive military fortification built by the Portuguese during the 1500s. Although in ruins today, the majestic fort has retained its grandeur and stands tall with the Arabian Sea on one side and hills on the other. Apart from the architectural beauty of the fort, you would witness the picturesque scenery surrounding it, adding to its aesthetic appeal. You can take pictures, know more about the history of the region, or simply walk around the terrain to soak in all its beauty!

Finally, the Revdanda fort trekking would take you to a fort located at the mouth of the Kundalika river. With the main entrance on the southern side of the fort, the structure was originally surrounded on three sides by the creek water. The Revdanda fort was built in 1524 by Portuguese Captain Soj. Until 1806, the fort was in control of the Portuguese until it was captured by the Marathas in 1806. Later, the British fortified the structure in 1818, resulting in further shift of power.

The trek to Avchitgad, Korlai, and Revdanda forts will provide you with a blend of nature and history. While the journey to each of the forts is filled with passing through streams, forests, and hills, the forts themselves have their own historical significance. As the terrain is easier to tread, the trek is accessible to anyone looking for a good weekend getaway and a calming trip amidst the best of nature.

Along with the visit to the three forts, the trek also includes a visit to the popular ancient Rameshwar temple, an architectural marvel in itself.

DAY 01 :
Departure from Mumbai at 10:00 pm. Borivali National Park. Pickup Points – Borivali , Andheri, Bandra , Sion, Ghatkopar, Thane, Vashi, Panvel. Time will be share separately. Pickup en-route till Panvel(Highway to Highway).

DAY 02 :
Arrival at Avchitgad Base village by 03:00 am & take rest. 05:30 am fresh up & Breakfast , then we head towards Avchitgad passing through a diversified dense forest (2 – 3 Hrs. Trek). Reach at the top of the fort and explore various aspects like temples, bastions, water cisterns and other ancient remnants. After that we will descending the trek & by an 2 hrs. will step out to the Korlai Fort (at 12:20 pm. Approx.). On arrival,  Observe & Explore the fort & enjoy Photography Session on your own. After that return to the base village & have lunch & take rest for while.  Then by 04:00 pm. Proceed to Revdanda, Visit ancient Rameshwar Temple & start to trek to Revdanda Fort. Explore the place & get to know historical things at Revdanda Fort. Also be witness the picturesque sunset. At 07.20 pm.  Departure to Mumbai.  By 12:00 am . reach at our home with unforgotten memories.

THINGS TO CARRY :
  • Good haversack bag to put in all the things to be carried.
  • Wear Full Trakpant, Tshirt or Full Shirt 2 pair A bottle of water (2 ltr), Camera(optional), Raincoat, Jacket, Eletrol powder, 2 lemon, some snack, biscuit.
  • Personal medicine & plastic bag, domains or the same brand.
  • A good Trekking shoes, towel and extra clothes, Sleeping Bag, Chadar, Torch
  • Anyone original photo ID proof
  • Empty Tiffin Box, Small Plate, Bowl
  • Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry(at own risk)

  • Registration Fee is non refundable.
  • BHATKE ADVENTURE  reserves the right to change, alter or cancel a trip due to any reason which might not be in the best interest of your safety, like dangerous water levels, landslides, extreme weather conditions, due to any unforeseen circumstances, etc.
  • Trekker should have carry a valid ID proof & should also follow covid regulations like wear a mask, carry sanitizer, etc.
  • The trek takes place through eco-friendly zone, so we should respect & enjoy the beauty of the respective region.
  • Do not litter the local sites or campsites. Consumption of Alcohol/Drugs /Smoking / Any other intoxicant  during the trek is strictly prohibited. Any kind of Misbehaving activity with participants or local aspects is also offensive.
  • Do not wear tight-fitted clothes as they might hinder with your movement during the trek.
  • Do not carry valuables like Jewellery  or expensive electronics.
  • Trekker should have follow all the instruction led by the The Trek Leader.
