With the view of towering cliffs, temples, and lush green nature, it makes for a perfect getaway trip after a hectic week. You would be walking amidst the woods, climbing rock-cut stairs, and camping in the lap of nature for an unmatched experience!

Brahmagiri literally stands for the hill (giri) of Lord Brahma. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva was impressed by Brahma when he meditated on these hills and names them after him. The Brahmagiri mountain contains of five different peaks called Sadyo-Jata, Aghora, Vamdev, Ishana, and Tat-Purusha. These peaks are considered to be the five mouths of Lord Shiva and are worshipped by devotees.

The water on Brahmagiri mountain flows in three directions – one flowing towards the east to become Godavari river, one flowing towards the south to become Vaitarna river, and the last one flowing towards the west called the west-flowing Ganga. Owing to the serenity of the place, many sages have believed to have done penance on these hills.

You will be trekking up to the Brahmagiri hill by climbing up the stone steps built during the 20th century.

Bhandar Durg forms the northern-most part of the Brahmagiri hills and has a rich history behind its formation. It was here that Trimbak Suryaji Prabhu has established the Peshwa regime in 1752. In 1818, the region under the British Empire led by Mc Dowell.

The trek includes a visit to the Trimbakeshwar temple. It is a temple of Lord Shiva in the town of Trimbak situated 28 km from Nashik and 40 km from Nashik road. It is one of the twelve prestigious Jyotirlings considered in high regard by the devotees of Lord Shiva. Trimbak is also located near the origin of the Godavari river, adding to its aesthetic appeal.

The trek will take you through a memorable trip through Brahmagiri hills, Bhandar Durg, and Trimbakeshwar in the form of a refreshing nature walk. As the trek is not too difficult, the route can be accessed by beginners as well as seasoned trekkers. Whether you are a nature lover, a devotee of Lord Shiva, or a fan of history and ancient architecture, the trek contains something for everyone.

DAY 01 :
Meet at Borivali National Park (Main Gate)  at 10:30 pm. & departure to Brahmagiri. Pickup Points – Borivali , Kandivali, Malad, Jogeshwari, Santacruz, Sion, Bhandup, Thane, Kalyan. Time will be share separately. Pickup en-route till Kalyan (Highway to Highway).

DAY 02 :
Reach Base village by 04:00 am, Fresh up &  have breakfast. Then at 05:00 am, will visit Trimbakeshwar Temple & After that , short brief will be given by the trek leader regarding the trek & at 06:00 am will start our trek (2 Hrs. Trek). Reach at the top of the fort , explore the fort & its historical significance & photography session.  After spending memorable time on fort, our return journey to origin point will start. We arrive at 12:00 pm to the base village , fresh up & have a lunch & take a rest for while. Then we proceed to Mumbai by 03:00 pm.  Reach to Mumbai at night (09:00 pm) Trek end with happy memories…

  • Traveling by Non AC Bus  (Mumbai – Trimbakeshwar – Mumbai).

  • Good haversack bag to put in all the things to be carried.

  • Registration Fee is non-refundable.
  • BHATKE ADVENTURE  reserves the right to change, alter or cancel a trip due to any reason which might not be in the best interest of your safety, like dangerous water levels, landslides, extreme weather conditions, due to any unforeseen circumstances, etc.
  • Trekker should have carry a valid ID proof & should also follow covid regulations like wear a mask, carry sanitizer, etc.
  • The trek takes place through eco-friendly zone, so we should respect & enjoy the beauty of the respective region.
  • Do not litter the local sites or campsites. Consumption of Alcohol/Drugs /Smoking / Any other intoxicant  during the trek is strictly prohibited. Any kind of Misbehaving activity with participants or local aspects is also offensive.
  • Do not wear tight-fitted clothes as they might hinder with your movement during the trek.
  • Do not carry valuables like Jewellery  or expensive electronics.
  • Trekker should have follow all the instruction led by the The Trek Leader.
