Kalsubai monsoon trek is a highly popular trekking route for adventure lovers who like to challenge themselves with a trek during the monsoons. The popularity of the trek lies in the beauty of the hills and the scenic beauty surrounding it during monsoon. If you want to bathe yourself in the moist monsoon air as you climb the lush green hill, you can go for the Kalsubai monsoon night trek from Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, and other locations surrounding the region.

Kalsubai is the highest peak in the Sahyadri mountain range, making it the highest point in Maharashtra. With the height of 5,400 ft, the peak is often referred to as the “Everest of Maharashtra”. Kalsubai is fairly common trekking and recreation point for locals as well as tourists, especially during the monsoon season.

The popular peak is situated in Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary and attracts nature and wildlife lovers across the year. The trek will make you experience nature’s best as you pass through beautiful streams, steep valleys surrounding your trail, and lush green forests that come alive during the monsoon. Although some sections of the trek include a steep climb, you will have access to ladders and carved steps that make your climb easier. Unlike other highly adventurous treks, you do not need to be a seasoned trekker to go for the Kalsubai trek.

Once you reach the top, you get to witness the extremely beautiful scenery around you comprising of lush green forests and hills that have bloomed in the monsoon. The Kalsubai peak also has a Hanuman temple that attracts numerous devotees all year round.

As it is the highest peak in the state, Kalsubai provides you with a view to die for! Once you reach your destination after a highly fulfilling climb, you can see a range of hills, plateaus, and reservoirs from the top. Some of the major forts that can be seen to the north of the peak include Harihargad, Ramshej, Anjaneri, Ghargad, Brahmagiri, Bahula, Kavnai, and Tringalwadi. To the east of the peak, you can spot Vishramgad and Aundh, while to the west you will find Alang, Kulang, Madangad, and Ratangad. To the south of the hill, you will be able to witness the beautiful Harishchandragad, Pabhargad, and Ghanchakkar.

Also, you can witness the entire Bhandardara region from the top of Kalsubai. This is the advantage you get when you climb the highest peak in Maharashtra. Please note that if you are going for the Kalsubai night trek, it is advisable to be careful and arrive at the base location after having a good night’s sleep.

Also, do not assume night treks at Kalsubai to be less beautiful than the day treks. Especially in the monsoon, trekking through the wilderness in the still of the night adds to the thrill and adrenaline rush of scaling the Mount Everest of Maharashtra!

DAY 01 :
Departure to Kasara by Local Train leaves from Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 10:50 pm. Mumbai.    (Please make sure that be on time to catch the train. Unless & until the trek will be missed.)

DAY 02 :
Arrival at Kasara Railway Station 01:18 am. Then transfers to Bari (BaseVillage ) by private vehicle (SUV ). Arrival at Bari by 03:00 am , take some rest for half an hour, then fresh up & have breakfast .At 04:00 am our trek will be started carried to ascend Kalsubai Peak. It will take 2 – 3 hrs to reach the top of the Peak. Reach at the top & explore natural beauty at their, Click some memories , Photography etc. After that we head towards the base village. By 11:30 am, arrival at base, have lunch & rest for while. Then at 01:00 pm,  transfer to Kasara Railway Station (2 Hours. Journey). Catch the available Train to Mumbai.

  • Personal Expenses.
  • Any Main Transportation To & from Kasara (like Railway, Bus Service, etc)
  • First Day & Last Day Dinner is not included.
  • All expenses incurred due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances like road blocks , bad weather, natural calamities, etc.
  • Any medical / Emergency evacuations if required.
  • Anything which is not mentioned in the inclusions.

  • Good haversack bag to put in all the things to be carried.
  • Wear Full Trakpant,Tshirt or Full Shirt 2 pair A bottle of water (2 ltr), Camera(optional), Rainkot, Jacket, Eletrol powder, 2 lemon, some snack,biskit.
  • Personal medicine & plastic bag,odomas or same brand.
  • A good Treking shoes ,towel and extra clothes, Sleeping Bag,Chadar,Torch
  • Any one original photo ID proof

  • Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry(at own risk)

  • Registration Fee is non-refundable.
  • BHATKE ADVENTURE  reserves the right to change, alter or cancel a trip due to any reason which might not be in the best interest of your safety, like dangerous water levels, landslides, extreme weather conditions, due to any unforeseen circumstances, etc.
  • Trekker should have carry a valid ID proof & should also follow covid regulations like wear a mask, carry sanitizer, etc.
  • The trek takes place through eco-friendly zone, so we should respect & enjoy the beauty of the respective region.
  • Do not litter the local sites or campsites. Consumption of Alcohol/Drugs /Smoking / Any other intoxicant  during the trek is strictly prohibited. Any kind of Misbehaving activity with participants or local aspects is also offensive.
  • Do not wear tight-fitted clothes as they might hinder with your movement during the trek.
  • Do not carry valuables like Jewellery  or expensive electronics.
  • Trekker should have follow all the instruction led by the The Trek Leader.
