The meadows of Pulara are the eye-catching scenes. As the name suggests Phulara Ridge, climb can make it whole adventurous yet wonderful trek. One who has an experience of trekking can do it quite quickly, but can be a tricky little trek for the beginners as the pathway has ascent and descent; trekker should know some techniques a bit. The average temperature in the Day time: 8°C-15°C; Night time: -5°C-3°C. Therefore it is essential to bring all warm clothes, and that may not even affect the backpack too much. As the name, Phulara ridge says a lot about the trek. What makes this trek special is the ridge climb, 360 views of great peaks, Pustara meadows. Not one thing but a lot of things are there that makes the trek one of the most fabulous treks to pick from Uttarakhand. Being nestled in the list of Kedarkantha, Har ki Dun this trek in Govind Pashu Vihar National Park has s stand out attractions. One more beauty of this trek that can’t be ignored is Sankri Base Camp from where the trek begins. Sankri is a small town and a base camp for many famous treks, amongst which Phulara ridge is one of the treks. It is important to maintain good health before taking any trek. So the most important thing is to maintain good fitness and do a light backpack so that it won’t get hectic for you to climb.

DAY 01 :
DEHRADUN- SANKRI    (Altitude: 6,397 Ft.) On your first day of the Phulara Ridge trek, you will head towards Sankri from Dehradun, a pretty small village in Uttarakhand with 250 around houses nearby. The village consists of small Dhabas and shops. The village is the base camp for many other treks, such as Kedarkantha, Har Ki Dun. The small village in the Lap of Himalayas is so stunning and offers the enchanting view of Swargarohini peak. As you drive to Sankri, you will cross Nainbagh, Naugaon, Purola, Jarmola, Mori Naitwari, and finally, Sankri. It is a total of 8 to 10 hrs drive towards Sankri from Dehradun. The village involves lots of adventure, along with that one can also experience the Zipline there known as Zip700. It will be a new experience in your adventure journal, so try the zip line too in Sankri base camp.

DAY 02 :
SANKRI – SIKOLTA  TREK  (Altitude: 6,397 Ft. to 9,300 Ft.) 5 hours On your 2nd day of Phulara Ridge trek, you will head towards Sikolta from Sankri base camp, you will cross the lovely pine forest, and around 1.5 hrs in ascent, you will reach a small bridge to cross. While ascents, keep in mind to take careful steps, later there will come some broken dhabas that you will strike, and after 30 min in the trek, you will reach the first place that is “Jainot Thatch.” Later, more than 10 min into the trek, you will need to ascent towards Marikoda, wherein you will be able to behold the beauty of Dhunda and a glimpse of the Phulara Ridge. As you have spent so much time in the trek, you later reach “Sikolta,” a nice meadow patch. Have rest in the tent, with dinner, and prepare yourself for the next trek tomorrow.

DAY 03 :
SIKOLTA - BHOJ GADI VIA KARSU THATCH  (9,300 ft. To 11,155 ft.)  4 hrs On our 3rd day of the Phulara Ridge trek, we will head towards Bhoj Gadi from Sikolta, an ascent of 30 min through the forest. The forest will be dark and dense, and you witness some trees fallen on the trail, be careful during the walk and listen to your trek leader. Later you witness the bridge along the route; there will be a small descending bridge and then a sharp ascent. A beautiful stream will be seen flowing near the bridge, where you can fill your water bottles. As you continue to ascent for around 15 min, you will reach Karasu Thatch. The place is full of greens and yellow looking mesmerizing flowers. You will be able to witness the Kedarkantha peak and change in the surroundings, such as a decline in the tree lines, and from here, you will have a gradual ascent. As you walk further, you will have a 30 min gradual ascent. You will see Rhododendron and Bhoj trees on the trail. Stepping off a few more mins will open up the lush green meadows. You will be able to see Dhunda Top, the highest point, and another 10 to 15 min trek will lead you towards your campsite, Bhoj Gadi. You can have rest and acclimatize yourself, and the most beautiful thing about the camp is you can be hold the beauty of Kedarkantha peak, Swargarohini, and a few more.

DAY 04 :
BHOJ GADI - PUSHTARA VIA PHULARA RIDGE  (11,115 ft. To 9,500 ft. Via 12,127 ft.)  6 hrs Mind-blowing sunrise can be like a morning treat to start a day; it takes 1 hr to be on top waiting for the bird century on the ridge. It almost seems that you are walking along with mountains right next to you & wherever you’ll go, they keep chasing you. Salt painted mountains spin the 360° view from the hilltop. After 2.5 hrs walk, Pushtara will wipe out your stress of the hectic day. The trail will blend ascent and descent; you witness the pine trees standing tall and Purola valley. You will be able to see the clear glimpse of the peaks such as Hanuman Top, Sarutal Top, DKD, Bandarpoonch, Kalanag, Swargarohini, Hata Peak (HKD), Ranglana, Devkyara valley, Lekha Top, Vijay Top, Kedarkantha. As you explore the Phulara Ridge, you will head towards Pushtara, a fantastic destination, and your campsite for tonight. Take rest after reaching, overnight stay at campsite.

DAY 05 :
PUSHTARA – TALUKA -  SANKRI   (9,500 ft. To 7,953 ft.)  6 hrs The day will starts with half an hour walk till Taluka, where you’ll get demolished huts of Gujjars on the way back to Sankri via Taluka. Meadows resemble a fluffy sofa to sit on for way too long until someone pokes you to get in. 1 Hr. journey will escape you from the grassland to mid of pine and oak forest, which is pretty enough to entertain your soul for still connecting with nature. Broken trees can be hurdles, be careful while crossing stems of the broken tree. 2 Hrs. later, when fumes of fire get into the nose and click the sign to be present, someone around you is about to reach Sankri, 40 more minutes’ walk, and you’ll be in the final destination at the lodge. Phulara Ridge trek will come to an end from this site. Overnight stay at Camp / Homestay.

DAY 06 :
SANKRI – DEHRADUN  DROP( 9 HRS.) On this day of the Phulara Ridge trek, you will say goodbye to this beautiful trek, and from Sankri you will drive back to Dehradun that will take 8 to 9 hrs. & drop at Railway Station / Airport.

  • Well Accommodation on Triple / Quad Sharing Basis ( Homestay / Tent Stay ).
  • Transfer & Sightseeing by exclusive Non AC Vehicle like Traveller / Ertiga / Innova (depending on the size of the group), wherever applicable.
  • All Meals (Veg /Non Veg), including everything from Day 1 Breakfast to Day 6 Breakfast.
  • A well-experienced and Certified Trek Leader.
  • First aid medical kits , Safety Gears, etc. relate to the trek.
  • Camping Equipment like tent, sleeping bags ,gaiters and crampons (if required) will be provided.
  EXCLUSIONS :
  • Any Airfare / Train fare.
  • Lunch / Meals other than mentioned in inclusions.
  • Entrance fees to National Park, Amusement parks, Boating Charges, Any rides, Adventure Activities rather than mentioned in itinerary, Monuments, Museum, etc.
  • Any portage at airports & hotels tips, insurance, wine, mineral water, telephone charges, and all items of personal nature.
  • Any services not specifically mentioned in the inclusions.
  • Expenses caused by factors beyond our control like rail and flight delays, roadblocks, vehicle mal-functions, political disturbances, Covid 19, etc.
  THINGS TO CARRY :
  • Saddle bags/ Magnetic tank bag/ Luggage carrier.
  • Comfortable clothes: tracks, raincoats, tee-shirts, Jackets and pullovers.
  • Trekking Shoes, a pair of slippers for the night, extra pair of socks.
  • Sunglasses, caps or hats, sunscreen lotion and insect repellents.
  • Flashlight with extra batteries , Personal medication .
  • Water bottles, backpack with plastic lining, daypack.
  • Helmet, Hanging Rope, Glows & any other trekking equipment.

  • We shall not be responsible for any change in the itinerary due to landslides, flight cancellations, weather conditions or any unforeseen circumstances. The additional cost incurred will be in addition to the cost.
  • It is mandatory to carry the Photo identity Proof during travel and have to be presented at the time of Check Inn wherever applicable for security reason.
  • During travelling , it is mandatory to carry a valid medical certificate (RTPCR Test Negative Report 72 Hrs. before ) along with 14 Days travel history. It will help the organizers to inform and alert all other persons during the tour that they can follow the medical/government norms in this regard.

  • The trek takes place through eco-friendly zone, so we should respect & enjoy the beauty of the respective region. Do not litter the local sites or campsites. Consumption of Alcohol/Drugs /Smoking / Any other intoxicant  during the trek is strictly prohibited. Any kind of Misbehaving activity with participants or local aspects is also offensive.
  • Do not wear tight-fitted clothes as they might hinder with your movement during the trek.
  • Do not carry valuables things like Jewellery or expensive electronics, etc.
