Out of anger and to destroy their father’s ego, Sati takes a fire bath and burns herself as she cannot save the respect of her beloved Mahadev. Shiva then took the dead body of Devi Sati and started roaming around the entire world by destroying places.

 

It is when lord Vishnu broke Devi Sati’s dead body into pieces, the places where the parts of the body felt the Jyotirlingas created.

The Kedarnath Musk deer sanctuary, globally known as the Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary declared the topmost wildlife sanctuary under the Wildlife protection act 1972. It is the largest protected area of the Western Himalayas for the endangered species Musk Deer, on which it was named Musk Deer Sanctuary.
