The Alang Madan Kulang trek is a fairly popular trip for adventure enthusiasts in the country. The trip takes place in the Kalsubai range in the Sahyadris in the Nashik district of Maharashtra. One can go for the Alang Madan Kulang trek from Mumbai, Pune, and other major cities surrounding the region with ease.

The terrain of this trek is highly technical and uneven, making it necessary for the trekkers to use climbing equipment at certain sections of the journey. Owing to the journey through difficult terrain for a period exceeding 2 days, this is certainly one of the most challenging treks to go for in Maharashtra.

However, all the effort is worth it once you reach your destination and enjoy the scenic view from the top. The view from the plateau on the top of the forts on reaching the destination is bound to make all your weariness go away in a second!

Apart from the aesthetic view from the top, the Alang Madan Kulang trek will take you through lush green and dense forests, rocks, boulders, caves, water cisterns, and much more. On your way, you will also encounter ancient writings on the rocks as you tread along the Western Ghats, making it a highly enriching trekking experience.

The forts of Alang Madan Kulang have had an interesting history of events. The forts have changes several hands when it comes to assuming control – from Mughals to Marathas to finally the British in 1818.  The strategic location and scenic appeal of the location made several rulers fight to capture the forts.

Once you reach the destination on the top, you get to see a range of reservoirs and peaks, including Kalsubai, Vishramgad, Vikatgad, Ratangad, Harishchandragad, Sandhan Valley, Ajobagad, Dangya Pinnacle, Bhandardara, and many more.

However, it is important to note that the trek is not advisable for solo travellers. Gather your group of adventure-loving friends if you are willing to go for the Alang Madan Kulang trek. Moreover, sharing the thrill of a challenging trek with a bunch of friends will only make the experience better!

One of the most important highlights of your trek would be the forests at the foot of the Alang Madan Kulang forts. DAY 01 :
Departure to Kasara by Local Train leaves from Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 10:50 pm. Mumbai.    (Please make sure that be on time to catch the train. Unless & until the trek will be missed.)

DAY 02 :
Arrival at Kasara Railway Station 01:18 am. Then transfers to Samrad (Base Village ) by private vehicle (SUV ). Arrival at Samrad by 04:00 am , take some rest for half an hour, then fresh up & have breakfast . At 05:30 am proceed to Ghatghar Dam and our trek will be started carried to ascend Alang Fort. it will take 4 to 5 hrs to reach the top of the Alang Fort . Explore the fort, Click some memories , Photography etc. After that we head towards the base of Madan Fort through caves of Alang Fort.  Now its Lunch Time.   Again we start to ascend the Madan Fort. Explore the fort & then back to the base . Dinner & night halt in caves.

DAY 03 :
Morning 05:00 am. Wake up call , Fresh Up & have breakfast. Then by 06:00 am. We start our trek  from Madan Fort - Kulang Fort (04 hrs Trek). Reach Kulang Fort, Explore & its Photography time. Then return journey to the base of Kulang (4 Hrs. Trek). Arrival & have lunch, then transfer to Kasara Railway Station. Catch the available Train to Mumbai.

  • Traveling by Private Vehicle (Kasara – Base Village - Kasara).
  • 2 Breakfast, 2 Lunch & 1 Dinner (Veg-NonVeg).
  • Well Trained Trek Leaders, Safety Gears, Guidance, Basic First Aid.
EXCLUSIONS :
  • Personal Expenses.
  • Any Main Transportation To & from Kasara (like Railway, Bus Service, etc)
  • First Day & Last Day Dinner is not included.
  • All expenses incurred due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances like road blocks , bad weather, natural calamities, etc.
  • Any medical / Emergency evacuations if required.
  • Anything which is not mentioned in the inclusions.
THINGS TO CARRY :
  • Good haversack bag to put in all the things to be carried.
  • Wear Full Trakpant,Tshirt or Full Shirt 2 pair A bottle of water (2 ltr), Camera(optional), Rainkot, Jacket, Eletrol powder, 2 lemon, some snack,biskit.
  • Personal medicine & plastic bag,odomas or same brand.
  • A good Treking shoes ,towel and extra clothes, Sleeping Bag,Chadar,Torch
  • Any one original photo ID proof
  • Empty Tiffin Box,Small Plate,Bowl
  • Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry(at own risk)

  • Registration Fee is non refundable.
  • BHATKE ADVENTURE  reserves the right to change, alter or cancel a trip due to any reason which might not be in the best interest of your safety, like dangerous water levels, landslides, extreme weather conditions, due to any unforeseen circumstances, etc.
  • Trekker should have carry a valid ID proof & should also follow covid regulations like wear a mask, carry sanitizer, etc.
  • The trek takes place through eco-friendly zone, so we should respect & enjoy the beauty of the respective region.
  • Do not litter the local sites or campsites. Consumption of Alcohol/Drugs /Smoking / Any other intoxicant  during the trek is strictly prohibited. Any kind of Misbehaving activity with participants or local aspects is also offensive.
  • Do not wear tight-fitted clothes as they might hinder with your movement during the trek.
  • Do not carry valuables like Jewellery  or expensive electronics.
  • Trekker should have follow all the instruction led by the The Trek Leader.
