If you are someone who is in love with caves and enjoys a bird’s eye view of nature from the top of the caves, the Ganpati Gadad trek is designed just for you.

Ganpati Gadad is a group of 6 to 7 near Dhasai. The trek to these caves is fair with medium endurance during the monsoons. Beginners can easily join the trek and have a great time enjoying what nature has to provide in the form of fresh air and scenic beauty. The Ganpati Gadad caves trek will also make you encounter small waterfalls that fall over the caves like a thin sheet of white curtains.

As the caves are formed in the rocks surrounded by different waterfalls, it adds to the overall aesthetic appeal of the region and makes for a great nature walk. The majestic and unique look of the caves makes them recognizable even from a distance as rectangular patches between rocks. Trekkers and hikers prefer visiting these caves in monsoon as they surround themselves with greenery, adding to their existing beauty.

The journey to these caves is what makes the Ganpati Gadad trek memorable. The trekkers walk through fogged waterfalls, getting slightly drenched in the fresh and moist air around them. If you love long calming walks in the lap of nature, this trek is definitely going to be no less than a spiritual experience!

The trek starts from a lush green forest up to the beautifully carved caves surrounded by waterfalls. People from across the state and country come to visit the caves to enjoy the look of the drenched green valleys, light hovering clouds, cool winds, and picturesque waterfalls. While trekking, you would encounter a few fields and gorgeous streams to give you the perfect start to a memorable journey.

The front view of the destination would be that of a fort names Durg. On the right-hand side, you will witness the beautiful view of Siddhagad, Gorakhgad, and Machindragad. On your left, you will have “Dhakoba”, “Jivdhan”, and “Naneghat”.

The trek will take place during the day so that you can enjoy the view of the caves and everything you encounter on your way. The one-day trek is bound to take away all your stress and prepare you for the week to come once you are back to the hustling of the city.

The Ganpati Gadad caves trek is for everyone. You need not be a seasoned trekker or need any experience in rock-climbing mountaineering to go on this trek. All you need to do is show up and be ready for what nature has in store for you!
